Would have been a great third to the WRX and Lancer rally compacts.

I just saw a Suzuki I wasn’t familiar with in a parking lot. It was kinda like a crossover/hatchback hybrid, the rear end looked like one car trying to come out of another..? Multi-colored. Lots of alpha-numerics after the name, like it was a performance variant. Wish I looked closer

I’d totally buy one as my first car purchase , but manuals are nearly non-existent nearby - AWD was only paired with the CVT.

They were good looking cars. I thought they were following Hyundai’s business plan.
I remember when they announced they pulled out of the US market. The news announced tomorrow a car company will be leaving the US market. My friends and I all though Mitsubishi is finally dying a somewhat ungraceful death. Then they announced Suzuki leaving, and we were confused. Why is Mitsubishi still in the US market???

But if you do find a manual, it’s a 6 speed

I see them about once a month. My first instinct is to stop the owner and compliment their boldness.
For comparison’s sake, that’s LESS rare than the Maserati Ghibli, which for me used to be a rare car among 4-door sedans.

Nope, but that is at least close...
It had the car eating a car look that the BMW i3, i8 and kia stinger have. I really should have taken a picture

Wow. I would almost say I’m at 1:1 there. For the money, the Continental seems oddly common. Some wealthy people just lack originality...

When I was a kid some one on my street in yellow. I always like it a lot. Was kind of bummed when I got older and found out they are just slow wagons that for some reason get horrible gas milage

<3 I love the Kizashi. I see a grey one almost every day either to or from work. Grey is the worst color for a Kizashi. There is a black one often at my local grocery store, and the car dealer down the street seems to have a few a year.

My high school English teacher had one. He was something of a hoarder, and also didn’t have an office or homeroom, so I think the car had maybe 3/4 of one useable seat, the rest was packed full of fast food wrappers and papers. That’s literally the only person I’m aware of speaking to, ever, that owned one of those.

I bet it’s magnificent at being a luxury car, the sort of thing someone would buy because its the best, not necessarily just the name.

I remember getting pretty excited 13 years ago when I saw a Continental GT on the street for the first time, thinking it would be a rare thing that I wouldn’t see again for quite some time. Now I see them pretty often. I’ve actually seen quite a few around here driven by what appear to be teenagers. I think they’re like something rich people buy as throwaway cars for their kids now.

Some one who works at my Walmart has original Honda Insight that looks like that. The only window you can see into is the driver’s. Every other window is covered by trash

If they had a Mulsanne, perhaps, but the Continental is the milquetoast, entry-level Bentley. It’s actually mostly an Audi A8, which was also a VW Phaeton, so, really, the Continental is (was? Have they given it a new platform yet?) a VW with a few choice upgrades. They’re just getting it for the badge.

Oddly enough, their CVTs weren’t bad! I was very close to buying an SX4 Touring AWD a few weeks ago, which shared some greasy bits with the Kizashi. I took it on a comprehensive test drive, including on a nearby steep gravel road, and it wasn’t at all annoying. Despite being almost 5 years old, it was much more refined and tolerable than the ones I’ve driven in the various Nissans, Subarus, Hondas, etc., which IME are hateful transmissions that make even a decent car insufferable. Ford and Toyota seem to be the only major brands that have CVTs figured out. I wonder how folks would have felt about the Focus and Fiesta if they’d had the CVTs from the hybrids instead of the PowerShift DCT.
